Sicily Writing Intensive Application Form

COST OF RETREAT

  • $2950 for Retreat with private room & shared bath
  • $2750 for Retreat with shared room & shared bath (limited availability)
  • $900 for Traveling Companion sharing room with participant and participating in meals & social activities 

If your application is approved, a 50% non-refundable deposit, minus the $50 application fee, will be due with your registration. The remaining balance will be due by October 1, 2018.

HOW TO APPLY

Please fill out the form below and submit. After submitting your Application Form, please send a 5-10 page writing sample to muses@birdsandmuses.com with the subject line: (Your Name) Sicily Writing Intensive Application and pay a $50 application fee through the "Pay Invoice" tab. (Application fees will be returned to applicants not accepted; applicants who are accepted and enroll will be credited $50 to their deposit.) Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis—first come, first served. Accepted applicants must submit a 50% non-refundable deposit (minus the $50 application fee) to hold their spot. A full manuscript is due by October 1, 2018 along with the remaining balance.

NOTE: We require a $50 application fee to ensure that applications are submitted with a serious intention to enroll, equal to the time and consideration we give to each application.  We take our applicants and their works seriously and regret turning away talented writers for lack of space; the application fee is to deter applicants who are less than sincerely interested in attending the retreat. 

Writing Sample Format: MS Word or PDF format; double-spaced; 12-pt standard font (such as Times New Roman) and 1" page margins. Please include your name and the genre of the writing sample on the first page.
