The Nest Application

THE NEST 2025 SESSIONS:

Winter/Spring Session: February 25 - June 12 (no class April 29 to May 1)

Fall Session: September 2 - December 8 (no class on Thanksgiving Week)

FULL MEMBERSHIP FEE:

  • $1750 per 15-week Session

THE FLEDGLING MEMBERSHIP FEE:

  • $600 per 15-week Session (6 Literary Craft Classes & 6 Generative Write-Ins only)

HOW TO APPLY TO THE NEST:

  • Please fill out the application form below and hit “SUBMIT” below when you’re done.

  • After submitting your application form, email a short 1-page summary description of your writing practice and/or your writing project and a writing sample of 5 double-spaced pages to: kate@birdsandmuses.com with the subject line: (Your Name) The Nest Application. See below for more details on the writing sample.

  • Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis until the cohort is filled, or through the first day of the Session if spaces are still available. The program is expected to fill up quickly.

  • Writing Sample Format: MS Word or PDF format; double-spaced; 12-pt standard font (such as Times New Roman) and 1" page margins. Please include your name and the genre of the writing sample on the first page.
